Things kids say

In a recent email exchange with a friend, we were sharing what our grandkids call us. I'm supposed to be Grandma, but Demitri doesn't quite pronounce it that way yet. It sounds like "Amma" or "Gma". John is Papa, and that he can say quite clearly... over and over and over. Here is my friend's cute story:

I did not want to be called Grandma so Mike’s son-in-law used to joke that I was “Cousin Annette”. Well, last week when we were at Maddie’s gymnastics class, the teacher said “Tyler, is this grandma and grandpa?” and he said “No, this is my grandpa but this is my cousin”. We were mortified!
