Restaurant Review

The other day my husband and I went to Little Havana, a small "Cuban inspired" restaurant in downtown Baltimore. It has a good reputation and received good reviews. And it was very nice... good food, nice atmosphere, and reasonable prices. But it was NOT Cuban. I remember maybe four Cuban dishes on the menu, they played raggae music, and no Cuban coffee.

We ordered tostones and "Havana Mussels" for appetizers. Mussels are mussels. The tostones were actually pintones (inbetween green and ripe plaintains). They tasted great, but I wanted tostones. John had a Cuban sandwich, which he said was good. I had a crabcake. But it was a Havana crabcake (chuckle)!

Again, we had a great time, but please, if you're going to advertise Havana inspired, please consult a Cuban!
