A day in December

Soft lights from the mini Christmas tree in my studio; café con leche (cappuccino machine broken), pumpkin bread, and cookies; Christmas music playing, and a very special friend.

We’ve been sick for so long, with one thing developing into another, that I can’t remember what it's like to feel “normal”. Add to that the unbalance of yin and yang (see below post or click here http://www.yogajournal.com/health/101), and I am completely out of sorts.

Enter Joy – great pleasure and delight, state of happiness and felicity (m-wonline.com) – literally the Joy of the Lord entered my house and sat in my presence today. And the source of my delight came in the form of my friend JOYce, or as I call her, Joys.

Joys is the most gentle, serene, pure-hearted, decent woman that I know. Admittedly I feel a little dirty in her presence. Yet I am who I am not who I’ve been, redeemed and forgiven so I am clean. Her presence calms me down, brings me joy, fills my cup. We talk in soft whispers, share stories, pray, and in the end both are thankful for what we bring to each other and part ways knowing that we made a difference today.

I am restored, I am renewed. I have my joy. Thank you my dear friend.
