Joy

The bests moments in my hectic days:

• A quick call from Sandie "I can't talk I'm on my way to school but I wanted to say hi I love you". (She juggles two jobs and grad school, yet we talk every day... sometimes for minutes, and sometimes just such quick hellos. It's those quick calls to stay in touch that just make my day)
• A quick call from Lisa "do you have a second, guess what Demitri just did... [tells story] okay well that's it!". (I don't get to see them as often as I would like... how thoughtful of my loving daughter to keep me abreast, minute by minute, of Demitri's development!)
• My wonderful husband, hours away at the track, texting or calling to say "just checking in, everything's fine, I love you."
• A handful of dear friends who: IM, text, invite me to happy hour, come over and fix me dinner, let me have "me time" when John is away.

I am humbled and ever so grateful.
