If you can use a bit of encouragement in these uncertain times, and evidence of God's power and love for His people, read this story. It happened to my daughter Lisa yesterday. There is a link at the end of my story to a short article that I read this morning that made what happened to Lisa even more relevant to "living by His will and His ways", as Lisie does. Please read on...
[I will try to quote Lisa as closely as I can. This took place last night, and she told me the story through gasping sobs. I could barely understand her and had to stop her and ask her if she was alright because I was thinking something awful had happened to her]
"Mommy, I was at the grocery store and there was this woman with her little kids shopping and we kept passing each other in the aisles. When the kids asked for something, she kept saying 'no we have just enough money to get groceries for the week; this has to last us the whole week'. When we got to the checkout, she was ahead of me and she paid for her groceries and it was just one bag... and that had to last her for the week! So I stopped her and told her I wanted her to have my groceries. I said 'there have been a lot of times when we didn't have money for groceries and my sister would order pizza for us and send us grocery gift cards at just the right time, so please take my groceries.' Then the security guard that is always at the lobby of the store stopped me and said ma'am please come with me, and I thought what? why? I didn't do anything and I don't even have my cart full of groceries anymore. So the security guard took me to the store manager and the manager asked me for my receipt and gave me my money back that I had spent on groceries."
People, I can't tell you how I felt. God used my girl to reach someone in need. I give Him all the credit for honoring my child who has such a wholesome heart and lives "by His will and His way" as much as is in her power. Never underestimate the power of God and of conducting your life and affairs in the right way. I am humbled.

Thank you. I needed to hear this today.
I am speechless... absolutely speechless.
Good for Lisa, another star in her crown
It is we, your family and friends, who should be humbled. Your daughter Lisa did a great thing, but she did a great thing because she has great parents who have a great belief and love in God, people and life in general. While there is always the occasional stray….our children become who we are and who we instill in them to be. I have always told you my friend, that your life’s path is clearly identified by your claw marks. Your babies and the lives they’ve built for themselves are a testament to all of your struggles and strengths. You and Honey are remarkable people; it only stands to reason you would bring forth and populate the world with remarkable offspring. I love you my friend for so many reasons… You are one of my many blessings and I thank God for you. Stay warm….
Okay, I'm a sobbing mess now.Thank you for sharing, Mercy!

Oh Mercy, this brought tears to my eyes. Lisa has joyfully experienced God's presence in her life...in His protection and in His provision. Such encouragement to us all.
OH, Mercy... This is SUCH an incredible story. Incredible. Amazing. I have shivers. Thank you SO much for sharing it. What a sweet and tender-hearted daughter you have. No surprise here!
Love, Emily
What a beautiful story. What caring daughters you have raised...
What a great story! It's so good to hear that there are still good people out there. Your daughter is amazing. You should be so proud!
Hi my wonderfull Daughter,
What a GOD experiance for Lisa to have been a part of. This is something she will never forget and what a great witnessing tool this can be for our Lord. I attribute a lot of her response to a great need in someone's life to her Mom and Dad and the way she was raised. Praise Jesus!!!!
Love always
Your "dad"
Wow! The Holy Spirit was clearly guiding your daughter. Thanks for sharing.

Isn't Lisie so amazing! I told her to explain to Demitri how he shared with the nice lady at the store.
She is your daughter. For sure.
This story gave me goosebumps and Lisa is so kind-hearted and thoughtful - and this storey is a reflection of that.
I love you. And, your family.
And, miss you, too.
