Psalm 100
2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
We are a blessed people. If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep .. you are richer than 75% of this world.
If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and some spare change someplace, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.
If you can attend church without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death, you are more blessed than three billion people in the world.
For us here in America, tomorrow is the Thanksgiving Holiday. For my international friends, tomorrow will be just another day. Nonetheless, wherever you are, make tomorrow a true day of Thanksgiving. God has blessed each and every one of us tremendously. Remember to thank God for supplying your needs and for providing your portion.
So long as we are receivers of mercy we must be givers of thanks. Mercy permits us to enter his gates; let us praise that mercy.... Be thankful unto him. Let the praise be in your heart as well as on your tongue, and let it all be for him to whom it all belongs. And bless his name. He blessed you, bless him in return; bless his name, his character, his person.
