Sunday Musings

If you didn't watch Joel Osteen this morning, look for the re-run or order the CD... Message #365 "God can turn back time", a message on restoration. Powerful.

If you want a good laugh, check out Sarah's posting here about the case of "The People v. the Carpet Painter."

Yesterday I ran on one of my favorite trails in Loch Raven. My route is mostly packed dirt with a few roots, mostly flat, the kind of terrain that you can actually let your eyes wander and enjoy the scenery. It was sunny and cool, a perfect day to enjoy the changing leaves. Ahhh! I encourage you to get outside... run, walk, or sit... and enjoy the fall colors.

We visited our grandson yesterday. He slept and we oohed and ahhed. Amazing what a new little life can do!

And the best news of all... Sandie was selected to go to Beijing next summer to cover the Summer Olympics:
[The college where Sandie is a graduate student] has been selected as one of five US colleges and universities to work the Beijing Summer
Olympics
as part of the official Olympic News Service (ONS).
[ ] students will work side-by-side with professional staff to cover Olympic
events, provide background information on athletes and competitions, and
basically create Olympic news material for the international press who will be
sending stories back to their homelands. The College will select approximately 25
students to participate. To be selected students must possess excellent writing,
oral communication and investigative research skills.
Way to go Sandie!!!
